Guide
Add a Canon printer on Windows or Mac
Set up your computer to print to a Canon device on your office network. If your company has an IT team, check with them first; they may install printers for you.
Before you start
- Get the driver for your model from Canon’s support site (opens in a new tab).
- Know the device’s network (IP) address. Your IT team or our team can tell you.
Windows 11
- Install the Canon driver you downloaded.
- Open Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Printers & scanners.
- Select Add device. If the Canon device appears, select it.
- If it doesn’t appear, select Add manually, choose to add it by IP address, and enter the device’s address.
- Print a test page to check it works.
Mac
- Install the Canon driver you downloaded.
- Open System Settings › Printers & Scanners and select Add Printer, Scanner or Fax.
- Select the Canon device from the list, or open the IP tab and enter its address.
- In the Use menu, choose the Canon driver for your model, then select Add.
Menu names can change between Windows and macOS versions. If something looks different, call us and we’ll help.
